When a couple were woken by what sounded like a break-in at their rural property, the husband set out in pursuit of what he perceived were burglars on motorbikes. Minutes later, police received a call reporting a devastating collision. At the scene two men were still trapped under a vehicle, both of them have apparently suffered critical injuries. Detective Inspector Grant Maxted investigates what happened at the devastating crash and what lay behind it.
