- S01E01Episode 1Sue's husband Dave died two years ago, and now her only son, Michael, is moving out – again – to try to fix his marriage – again. But the good news is he has got Sue a surprise to help her live independently: an Ann Droid Z58/100 humanoid care robot. Sue really does not want a robot in her home, especially one that causes chaos straightaway. But is this robot actually the companion she most needs?
- S01E02Episode 2Sue isn't thrilled that Michael is back with Renee (his cheating wife) and turns down an invite to Renee's BJJ graduation ceremony, pretending she has other plans and upsetting Michael in the process. Sue doesn't have any plans, so offers to work in the charity shop to help out Eileen, but it's a disaster. Sue realises she should go and support Michael after all and prove she's still a good mum, but Linda causes chaos.
- S01E03Episode 3Linda encourages Sue to join Tom and Eileen on a trip to the seaside to scatter ashes. To cheer themselves up, they decide to go to a funfair, where a fortune teller leaves Sue hoping for a sign from Dave and a promise to try new things, starting with a rollercoaster ride. Meanwhile, Michael's efforts to be a rock star and impress everyone at an open-mic night are totally ruined, thanks to Linda.
- S01E04Episode 4Sue has invited Michael and Renee to a nice family dinner in an attempt to play happy families, which means she can't accept Phyllis's invite to her surprise birthday party. Michael and Renee's real motive for coming round is revealed, and things take a turn for the worst. Fortunately, Linda is there to avert tragedy and reveal the biggest shock of the night.
- S01E05Episode 5Sue wishes she could see the Leonids meteor storm one last time in her life under clear skies, so Linda persuades her to go camping. But Linda inadvertently causes chaos at the campsite, and things get worse when they decide to go for a walk to get away from their fellow campers. Meanwhile, Michael gets some life-changing news.
- S01E06Episode 6With Michael living back at home and unemployed, he really can't afford Linda anymore, so he decides to return her. Linda had made this week especially busy for Sue as it would have been her 50th wedding anniversary, so she leaves Michael with Sue's itinerary and onward care instructions. But when Sue's friends and Michael all let her down, she questions whether she can live without Linda.
