- S01E05ChambersburgRelations between Seymour and his father deteriorated. Django suspects John's son of betraying the community by delivering information to Elizabeth. To find out, Django and John secretly organize two new expeditions. The first will convoy barrels of oil; Seymour will only know of the existence of the second, containing only water. If it is attacked, Seymour will be unmasked.
- S01E06The TrialSheriff Boone takes John to Elmdale for his trial. He is accused of falsifying the title deed to the land on which he built New Babylon. Django tries to intercede with Judge Fourier, whom he has known since the Civil War. For his part, Seymour threatened to set fire to the oil wells of New Babylon so that the inhabitants would rally to Elizabeth's cause.
