- S01E42Showdown at Dark CityThe group arrives in Dark City, a seemingly dull town where they are attacked just because they are pokemon trainers. A restaurant owner tells them that the reason why people in the town hate pokemon trainers is because in Dark City there are two unofficial gyms that are trying to best each other so that they can be the official gym of the city. There battles are slowly destroying the town, so Ash, Misty, and Brock decide to help the townspeople stop the pointless fighting.
