Jake is quickly brought on the case when the three locate the burned-out van at the bottom of a wooded ravine, creating complications on the personal front. Returning to the college, Matt enlists Mia's help using her pull with the low vision community to dig into Sunny's employment at EyesUp, confirming Tess' worst fears.
