Sci-fi fans who like their noir glossy and a little silly will settle in fast. Kovacs carries a pink child's backpack everywhere. Chris Conner plays the hotel AI who styles himself after Edgar Allan Poe with a funny charm that keeps the mood from turning heavy. Joel Kinnaman gives the lead a weary deadpan, and the flying cars and penthouse lighting look expensive.
