Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder catch one case, a teenage girl found dead in the trunk of a campaign car, and the show gives almost every day of the investigation its own hour under a Seattle sky that never clears. Mireille Enos plays Linden as someone who cannot leave a case at the station, trading her own family life for one more interview, while Joel Kinnaman's Holder, a recovering addict working his way back onto the force, keeps her honest. The pace stays slow and wet on purpose, more interrogation room than chase scene, and season two asks more patience than most people have to give. Watch it with the lights low and no rush to solve anything yourself.
