Is it for me?
Spy-thriller viewers who want paperwork and policing more than lightsabers will settle in here. Kyle Soller plays the officer Syril Karn as rigid and obsessive, and his fixation is oddly entertaining. Maarva, Cassian's adoptive mother, confronts him after the arrest bulletin goes out, protective and not soft about it. Diego Luna's lead is jumpy and self-interested, a scavenger, not a hero.
Before you start
The first two episodes build slowly and some scenes run long; it tightens by the third or fourth, so give it time.
2 seasons, 24 episodes, 48 min each, about 19 hours so far
