Is it for me?
War-film viewers who want combat to feel costly rather than glamorous will find this one sober and respectful. Each episode opens with short interview clips of the real veterans, which gives the drama a documentary weight. Damian Lewis makes Winters a calm officer who leads by example, and David Schwimmer plays the harsh Sobel completely straight, far from his comedy days.
Before you start
Most episodes follow a different soldier, so give the first two time to sort the faces out; combat takes over from the second.
1 season, 10 episodes, 60 min each, about 10 hours so far
