Black Doves

A spy thriller that jokes as much as it shoots, for viewers who like a twisty, slightly far-fetched plot if good actors sell it. Helen and Sam bicker even while running from assassins. In one scene they search a flat, then jump out a window into the Thames as the place blows up. Sarah Lancashire's spymaster Reed gets the driest lines.

It tells one continuous story, so watch in order; occasional flashbacks to Helen's past break up the present-day investigation.
