Is it for me?
Dry Northern Irish banter keeps this police drama human, so people who want danger without constant gloom will settle in. It opens with a fast car chase. Then the recruits' inexperience starts to show, and the veterans tease them as they learn on the job. Siân Brooke plays Grace with steady optimism, and Katherine Devlin and Nathan Braniff hold their own beside the old hands.
Before you start
Each season opens as a shift-by-shift ride-along, then the main storyline tightens hard in the back half, so give the early episodes some time.
4 seasons, 24 episodes, 58 min each, about 23 hours so far
