Grown-up fantasy fans who like their blood flashy and their dialogue foul will settle in fast. The animation borrows the look of 80s anime action, and the writing keeps jabbing at the church. Richard Armitage gives Trevor a sour, hard-drinking growl, and when he fights a cyclops in the catacombs, then turns down the bishop's offer to clear his family name, you know exactly who he is.
