Is it for me?
Dark fantasy for viewers who like their gore with a soft center, where humans are often the cruel ones and nobody on the lead side is clean. A fearsome beast fumbles with the baby, and those awkward home scenes land harder because the fights around them are so bloody. The grungy look recalls the genre's 1980s films.
Before you start
The premiere runs long and spends its time on setup; season two moves to a school setting with more talk and a different tone.
2 seasons, 25 episodes, 30 min each, about 13 hours so far
