Code of Silence

A surveillance thriller for people who like an ordinary person out of her depth more than a clever detective. The sound muffles whenever Alison fixes on someone's mouth, and the words appear on screen as text, so you read along with her. Early on, the detectives test her from across a room, and she answers them from where she stands. Rose Ayling-Ellis makes a familiar framework worth the time.

One storyline runs straight through, cutting between the gang surveillance and Alison's home life, so watch in order rather than dipping in.
