Coven Academy

A snarky teen witch drama for people who grew up on Charmed and The Vampire Diaries. Briar, a New Yorker who jokes her way past everything, is called out for snooping in police files about her mother, and objects on the headmistress's desk start rattling as her temper climbs. Malina Weissman plays her guarded and fast with a line, and the comedy holds up against the vampire attacks.

The episodes are short and fast, and one mystery runs under the school drama, so it suits a long sitting.
