Is it for me?
Longtime CSI watchers who want the old lab routine back will find it barely changed, with younger investigators working beside the familiar faces. One scene says it well: the team opens a storage unit and finds a miniature crime lab in David Hodges's name, packed with evidence from old cases. Paula Newsome plays the new lab boss as no-nonsense, which keeps the nostalgia from getting soft.
Before you start
Each episode is a case of the week, and season one leans on the returning old-guard characters.
