Is it for me?
Viewers who like Broadchurch but wish it would crack a joke will be at home in this swearing, cheeky send-up of gloomy crime dramas. In the opening, a mishap with a flame turns the discovery of the body into a gag. Kate Box wins the laughs as Dulcie, answering Eddie's chaos with dry looks, while Nina Oyama's eager Abby keeps pace.
Before you start
Give the first episode or two room while the tone settles; each season is its own case, so season two works as a fresh start.
