Dragon Striker

Sports anime fans who like a lore-heavy magic school, as in The Owl House, get a bright, easy watch that works for younger viewers too. The matches are soccer played with spells. In one, Ssyelle, a rookie with a power she can barely control, is thrown in as a substitute and pulls off a block. The underdog side around her is easy to root for.

It is one serialized story with cliffhangers, and the first few episodes spend their time building the world before the school plot gets going.
