Is it for me?
A dark, brutal family drama for viewers who want a serious literary adaptation and will put the phone down for it. The cruelty is small and exact. Young Adam gives his father a puppy, while Charles's birthday knife goes ignored. Florence Pugh plays Cathy as a mystery that never quite settles, and Hoon Lee gives Lee real dignity.
Before you start
Episode one jumps between the present and the brothers' childhood, so give it a few minutes to sort itself out.
