Fargo

Crime fans who like their violence deadpan and polite will feel at home. Billy Bob Thornton's Lorne Malvo stays perfectly calm, even right after he hits a deer and a barely clothed man runs from his trunk into the woods. Allison Tolman's Molly chases the case with earnest, stubborn good manners.

Each season is a new story with its own characters, so you can start anywhere; the first is one continuous case, told in order.
