Is it for me?
Viewers who want to watch an outbreak spread from the edges, with a family drama in front and few walkers early on, get exactly that. When his dealer Calvin is shot and gets back up, Nick runs him down with Travis's truck. The scares sit in ordinary places, an emptied school and a barbershop, not in big action scenes.
Before you start
The pilot is the slowest hour and the second picks up speed, so give the slow-burn opening season three episodes before deciding.
8 seasons, 113 episodes, 58 min each, about 109 hours so far
