Is it for me?
Viewers who like gentle crime-of-the-week shows with a touch of fantasy will settle in fast. Ioan Gruffudd plays Henry grave and dour, so Judd Hirsch's dry, snarky Abe carries the humor. He is the one waiting with fresh clothes when Henry surfaces unclothed from the East River.
Before you start
Each episode is a self-contained murder case, so you can start anywhere; the flashbacks and the larger mystery move forward a little at a time.
1 season, 22 episodes, 60 min each, about 22 hours so far
