Is it for me?
A twisty thriller with a wry, bleakly funny streak, for viewers who like their murder mysteries to wobble into farce. A flashback shows the children coming home to find their mother gone, and the father banning her name, a scene that is sad and absurd at once. Amy Nuttall gives Carol a personal stake in every discovery, and Douglas Henshall makes the husband she loves unsettling.
Before you start
It is one continuing mystery, so watch in order, and expect the suspicion to move from person to person as it goes.
