Is it for me?
Viewers who like fast talk and a town they would happily live in will settle in right away. Characters trade film, music and book references at double speed, and a joke lands in almost every exchange. The first Friday dinner at the grandparents' house is stiff and funny, with Kelly Bishop and Edward Herrmann playing Emily and Richard as hosts who never relax while Lorelai answers with a quip.
Before you start
The pilot is slower than the episodes after it, and the last season was made without the creator, so it reads differently.
7 seasons, 153 episodes, 60 min each, about 153 hours so far
