Girls
DramaRomance2012Rated 6.4
In Brooklyn, Hannah, a 20-something aspiring writer, learns her parents will stop paying her bills. She tries to cover rent on a shaky job, with her three friends.
Starring Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke
Next season
Season 7announced, no date yet
Dormant, Weekly, 5 episodes, last aired Sun, 16 Apr 2017
Is it for me?
Cringe comedy for people who enjoy Curb-style discomfort and don't need a likeable lead. Hannah is spirited and self-centred, and her bad decisions are the jokes. She shows up at her parents' hotel room high on opium tea, asking for money. Zosia Mamet plays Shoshanna as a nervous, fast-talking mumbler, and Adam Driver makes Adam aloof and intense.
Before you start
Start at the pilot, since the friend group's story runs in order; seasons two and three get more abrasive than the first.
6 seasons, 62 episodes, 30 min each, about 31 hours so far
