Thoughtful sci-fi fans who prefer robots in the kitchen to robots in battle will settle in. Gemma Chan plays Anita so still and precise that she draws the eye in every scene. Laura finds her standing over a sleeping child's bed at night and tells her that is not her job. William Hurt's widower won't let his failing Synth Odi be recycled.
