Is it for me?
Shonen fans who want likable odd-couple friends and a hero who is cheerfully, absurdly strong will fit right in. Gon hauls an enormous fish out of the water alone with an ordinary rod, and the show keeps that loose, exaggerated sense of what bodies can do. Mariya Ise plays Killua so he is easy to like, and the four of them are good company.
Before you start
The first arcs are light and quick, and the tone turns darker and more strategic from the Chimera Ant arc, around episode 75.
1 season, 148 episodes, 25 min each, about 62 hours so far
