La casa de los espíritus

Viewers who like a long, lush family saga that mixes magic with cruelty will settle in. A girl sees her uncle in church while nobody else can, and the show treats it as ordinary. Alfonso Herrera plays Esteban across his whole life and makes him repellent without ever turning him cartoonish.

A present-day Alba reads her grandmother's diaries, and the story follows one family member, then another, across generations at a deliberate pace.
