Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

Comedy for people who would like to finish an episode knowing how a neglected issue really works, and who still want to laugh the whole time. Oliver builds the long main story like an argument, with asides, coined hashtags and mascots. Fake trailers and mock ads stand in for commercial breaks, and they are often the funniest minutes.

Episodes stand alone, so you can drop in anywhere; the opening news items date faster than the long main stories.
