Maigret

Crime viewers who like a calm, watchful detective and a team around him more than car chases will settle in fast. Maigret says little and lets events land on his face, and the sparing jokes poke at crime-genre habits, like a vlogger who sits on his robbery footage until he can cash in. Nathalie Armin plays prosecutor Kernavel as visibly irritated by him, which gives the show its sharpest friction.

Each case is split into parts, so expect to follow one story for a couple of hours; the opening episode packs in many threads.
