Is it for me?
Viewers who like their family comedy mean, and don't need anyone to learn a lesson, will fit right in. Al keeps reliving his high school football glory, and when Peg puts the whole house on a diet, he resists. Ed O'Neill sighs his way through every insult, and Amanda Bearse's Marcy is the neighbor who fires back.
Before you start
Season one is a short 13 episodes and a bit softer than the rest, so give it room before the humor turns meaner.
11 seasons, 259 episodes, 30 min each, about 130 hours so far
