Is it for me?
Sitcom people who can live with a laugh track, and want one that treats recovery sincerely, will settle in. Early on, Bonnie teaches her young grandson Roscoe to gamble while Christy is out on her first date since quitting drinking. Allison Janney makes a selfish, flighty mother sympathetic, and she and Anna Faris trade barbs.
Before you start
Season one plays as a joke-heavy sitcom with mostly self-contained episodes; later seasons give the AA group a bigger role.
