Is it for me?
Mystery fans who like a little absurdity with their unease will settle in at this spa where nothing is quite right. Guests dig ditches and lie down in them while staff pile on dirt, a ritual meant to stand for rebirth. The show plays it solemn and silly at once. Melissa McCarthy moves between jokes and real hurt, and her scenes with Bobby Cannavale click.
Before you start
Season one covers a single retreat and holds back answers early; season two brings new guests to another place, so treat it separately.
