Slow-burn romance for people who like costume drama with mud and danger in it. Claire's nursing is what keeps her alive; the scenes that stay with you have her treating a sick child while the people around her trust charms over medicine. Sam Heughan plays Jamie decent and wary, and he and Caitriona Balfe carry it. Tobias Menzies doubles as two very different men.
