Is it for me?
Light, offbeat crime for people who want gentle puzzles and a dry laugh more than grit. In his daydreams Tempest talks with other versions of himself and with several copies of his mother, which is as odd as it sounds. Ben Miller plays the OCD understated, never as a caricature. Frances de la Tour sweeps in as Adelaide and lifts every scene she enters.
Before you start
Each episode is a self-contained case, and the family and childhood threads arrive in small doses, so you can skip around without losing much.
