Rebus

Tartan noir for people who like a scruffy, bad-tempered detective more than a clever puzzle. Richard Rankin plays Rebus grumpy and dangerous, with a weakness for whisky, and he hits his own brother while his daughter watches. A man is stabbed on a prison bus by two attackers dressed as joggers, and the case winds through Edinburgh's grand streets and poor ones.

One investigation runs the whole season instead of a case a week, and the story cuts between several threads, so watch the episodes in order.
