Is it for me?
Crime fans who want a steady weekly mystery with warm company will settle in easily. Maura loves her tortoises and answers every question with more facts than anyone asked for, and Sasha Alexander makes that charming instead of tiresome. Lorraine Bracco's Angela supplies the laughs, while the cases themselves stay darker than the polish suggests.
Before you start
Nearly every episode closes its own murder case, with one longer thread running through the short first season.
7 seasons, 105 episodes, 60 min each, about 105 hours so far
