Is it for me?
Viewers who want swagger over solemnity in their war stories will have a good time. Rock music plays over the desert raids, and the soldiers bicker like a band that has not yet learned to share a stage. The unit takes its name from a ghost regiment that never existed. Jack O'Connell makes Paddy Mayne dangerous and oddly charming.
Before you start
Season one is the loose, rowdy one; season two moves to Europe and plays more like a standard war drama.
2 seasons, 12 episodes, 58 min each, about 12 hours so far
