Scarpetta

Crime fans who like autopsy-table detail and a stacked cast more than a tight puzzle will settle in here. A coin sits on a railway track until a train's lights reveal a woman's body, and Scarpetta gets the call. Bobby Cannavale plays the retired Marino, whose bond with Kay is unusual.

One case runs through the season, so watch in order; it grows more tangled, and the home-life scenes shift the tone.
