Is it for me?
Mystery fans who like cases cracked by watching and talking, with little blood, will have a good time. Holmes's deductions float up as words while he reads a stranger's clothes and phone, and the texts on screen become clues too. Benedict Cumberbatch plays him clipped and unbearable yet charming, while Martin Freeman makes Watson the steady one who answers back.
Before you start
Each series is only three feature-length episodes, so it plays more like a run of films than a normal season.
