Next season
Season 2announced, no date yet
All at once, 6 episodes, last aired Mon, 9 Feb 2026
Is it for me?
Gentle, oddball British comedy for people who can take a sad streak and a bit of folklore with their jokes. Pearce Quigley plays Michael with a hangdog face that makes a shift in the shop feel mournful, and Michael Palin plays his dad as a cheerful crank who never doubts the alchemy. Michael brushes the talk off, then comes round after finding an old journal in the shed.
Before you start
It opens as a low-key workplace sitcom and turns steadily stranger from there, so judge it by more than the first episode.
1 season, 6 episodes, 29 min each, about 3 hours so far
