Is it for me?
Crime-drama viewers who like a family business with blood ties and bad habits will sink right in. Gemma, Jax's mother, schemes and protects in equal measure, and Katey Sagal makes her the most compelling person on screen. The club solves problems with violence, as when it hijacks the retiring police chief's truck to lean on him. The loyalty speeches run overheated, but the cast sells them.
Before you start
Each season's storyline builds on the one before, so start at the first episode; the middle seasons move slower, and the last two pick up.
7 seasons, 92 episodes, 60 min each, about 93 hours so far
