Is it for me?
Graphic, gleefully over-the-top Roman pulp for viewers who enjoy blood spraying in slow motion against obviously digital backdrops. John Hannah keeps it grounded as Batiatus, who runs the school like a stressed businessman guarding his investment. He promises help with the search if the new fighter becomes the crowd's favorite. Meanwhile Lucretia and the Roman visitor Ilithyia scheme for influence around the games.
Before you start
It clicks around episode 5 or 6, so give the opening stretch some rope.
