Is it for me?
Old-fashioned space adventure for viewers who enjoy period charm along with the ideas, because the sets wobble and the aliens look homemade. Stories often turn on an ethical question, with Spock and McCoy arguing opposite sides. In one early story, a creature takes whatever face its victim most wants to see and feeds on the salt in their body.

The third season was made on a noticeably smaller budget.
