Is it for me?
Cozy coming-of-age viewers who like young romance and low-key secrets more than twists will settle in. Ella Rubin plays Annie anxious and awkward in a way that is funny and endearing, and the young cast feels like real teenagers. Annie leaves her dad a sticky note with a cover story before she sneaks off, and a mixtape at an impulsive cottage party thaws things with Ramona.

Expect an unhurried pace, with atmosphere and character scenes taking priority over plot and the family mystery running alongside the romances.
