The Drop: A Snowfall Saga

Crime drama for people who care more about a song getting made than a deal going bad, and it works without having seen Snowfall. Street danger keeps cutting into the hopeful scenes, like the one where Wanda hands a teenager an old One Way record and they start a beat from it. Asante Blackk plays Lamar hungry and unjaded, and Gail Bean gives Wanda both vulnerability and determination.
