Is it for me?
Dark British comedy for people who want their teenagers prickly and their jokes bleak, and who can put up with leads they may not like at first. Both leads narrate in deadpan, and Alyssa's private thoughts are far sharper than what comes out of her mouth. As the stolen car pulls away, Alyssa says she isn't scared, and James thinks she should be.
Before you start
Season one is eight tight episodes set over a few days; season two is slower and gentler, opening on a new character, not the leads.
