Is it for me?
Legal drama fans who want people's motives to matter more than courtroom fireworks will settle in quickly. Cases look like news stories, and the firm treats each one as a power game. Early on, Alicia and Will Gardner defend a stripper who says she was assaulted at a rich man's bachelor party. Julianna Margulies plays Alicia with restraint, so a small look across a table says plenty.
Before you start
Season one is mostly a case of the week, with a slow-burn story running underneath.
7 seasons, 156 episodes, 60 min each, about 156 hours so far
