Season 17, Episode 7 of The Great British Bake Off airs on Tuesday, 3 November 2026 at 8pm UK time on Channel 4.Is it for me?
It is comfort viewing for people who like watching skilled hands work and have no appetite for scheming. Each week the technical challenge gives bakers a sparse recipe with barely any method, and they work out the rest alone. Paul Hollywood saves a handshake for a bake he rates, and the contestants cheer each other on.
Before you start
The format repeats every week, so any series works as a starting point; the tone shifts a little with each new host lineup.
