Season 2 of The Institute premieres on Sunday, 8 November 2026 at 9pm ET on MGM+, 8 episodes weekly. Is it for me?
A creepy mystery about gifted kids, for viewers who want eerie bursts more than long dread. It leans on small wrong details, like a bedroom with no real window. Ben Barnes gives the ex-cop a brooding, weary energy that carries the quieter stretches, and Mary-Louise Parker runs the place with warmth and menace in the same smile.
Before you start
The first few episodes keep Luke and Tim in separate stories and move slowly; it picks up once the two storylines start to meet.
